Deaf Romanian Teens

Imagine growing up in a completely silent world. Imagine struggling to communicate with almost everyone around you. Imagine being sent to the city to attend a boarding school. Imagine finding out that some of your teachers hardly know sign language. Imagine never getting the chance to “hear” about Jesus.

That is what many deaf people around the world experience.

These deaf teens are a few that I met during my first visit in Romania. Many of them came to the city of Cluj-Napoca to study at a vocational school. I spent a couple of days getting to know them and after that, I determined to pray more that the Lord of the Harvest would send out labors to reach these who cannot hear! Unless someone takes time to tell them about God, in sign language, how will they know that eternal life is found in Christ Jesus?
