Prayer Letter – March / April 2016

Dear Friends,

Recently, in evening devotions, I asked the Lord to direct my heart to a Scripture passage that He would choose for me. Psalms 33 came to mind, so I turned there and began to read. Verse one says, “Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.” As I meditated on this Psalm, I began to thank Him for His goodness and soon I was singing. It was good to be reminded that just singing praises to Him is important, both for the heart and for His glory!

A Few Blessings During a missions conference this past month, both my parents and I were invited to speak. It is not often that we both get into the same conference. It was so nice to work as a team! I am so thankful for the parents God has given me! Another blessing has been to see financial support and encouragement increase from among my young friends and peers. Sometimes I think we, the younger generation, miss out on the blessings of investing in eternal matters. When I think about young people in the Bible, I think of how God used Joseph, David, Jeremiah, Daniel, and Mary. All took steps of obedience and trust, and all found God to be faithful! My prayer for myself and my friends is that we would grow in faith and obedience, and discover God to be all He is!

Upcoming Ministry Opportunities – In March and April I plan to be in deputation meetings, represent SWMI at one Christian college in Tennessee, and go through a week of refresher workshops with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Eastern Pennsylvania. May and June are two months I am working to fill with meetings. I will also be attending SWMI’s annual Focus Seminar (for missionary appointees). During July and August my deputation travels continue and I will join the SWMI evangelistic team on a mission trip to DeafNation World Expo.

Missions Trip – DeafNation (July 4-9) – This year SWMI will be taking a team of Christians to witness and pass out tracts at DeafNation World Expo in Las Vegas. It is estimated that around 20,000 deaf people from 50-70 countries from around the world will be in attendance. I am looking forward to the opportunity we will have to make a difference! Please pray that God will open the hearts of deaf people and that He will give our team boldness to proclaim truth!

The cost for this trip will be $1,450. This covers all expenses, such as airfare, hotel, meals, rental of two booths, tracts and gospel DVDs and more. If you would like to invest in this mission opportunity, you may send your gift to Silent Word Ministries, PO Box 889, Trenton, GA, and designate for “Nicole Condra – Missions Trip.”

Praises:

  • All funds for a better deputation vehicle have been provided, and I am shopping for a car now!
  • My support level is now at 41 percent.

Needs:

  • Please pray for wisdom and safety while I travel and speak.
  • Also pray for the funds needed for DeafNation World Expo. This mission trip will cost $1,450.

Thank you all for investing with me in the lives of other people both “deaf” and “hearing.”
